The Pell City School System Preschool Program is an inclusive preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds with and without disabilities. The Preschool Program is located at Eden Elementary School. Preschool will be offered Monday through Friday, beginning August 27, 2012 through May 17, 2013, and will follow the 2012-2013 Pell City School System Calendar. The school day for typical preschool students will be from 8:15AM to 2:45PM. The school day for the special needs students will be determined through the IEP process.
Children of Pell City School System employees are granted the first available slots. Enrollment will open to all Pell City School System residents beginning June 5, 2012.
This is an innovative program that is offered for preschoolers who reside in Pell City School System District. The goal of the program is to enhance instruction for students with special needs, which includes providing age and gender appropriate models for the students in that classroom.
