The Human Resources Department is responsible for recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing faculty and staff that exhibit the knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the needs of our students and school district. This department also handles compliance and support of educator certification requirements as well as volunteer/chaperone background clearances.

If you will be volunteering to work with students (exs: tutoring, coaching, field trip chaperone), Pell City Schools requires that you submit to a background check. If you have questions, please contact Pam Compton at 205.884.4440 ext. 225. The base cost of the screening is $25 but may increase if you have lived in multiple counties or states over time.
